Dr. Monal Shah has over 10 years of experience in providing pediatric pulmonary care for children’s lung diseases including asthma.

Dr. Shah is fellowship-trained at the University of California San Francisco in pediatric pulmonary medicine. After that, she conducted research as a research fellow at Stanford University. Dr.Shah completed her medical education from BJ Medical College, Gujarat University, one of the top 10 medical schools in India. She went on to complete her pediatric residency in India. After coming to the United States she started her residency in Pediatrics at Woodhull Medical Center, New York.

After finishing her post-doc at Stanford University, Dr. Shah joined as a faculty at UCLA Medical Center. After that, she was a faculty member at The Emory University pediatric pulmonary department. She decided to start the Children’s Asthma and Lung Center in 2014.

Dr.Shah is board-certified in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine. Dr. Shah is well versed in the management of all kinds of pediatric pulmonary disease and bronchoscopy. She has a special interest in Asthma, Lung diseases of prematurity, and cystic fibrosis.

She enjoys teaching. She performs bronchoscopy at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Eagleton campus. Dr. Shah has hospital privileges at:

  • Children’s Healthcare of AtlantaScottish Rite Hospital and at Egleston Hospital at Emory Campus.

Other than English, Dr. Shah is fluent in Gujarati and Hindi. Dr. Shah lives in suburban Atlanta with her husband, and a son. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family. She is trained in classical Indian music and enjoys singing.
